Hormones & Metabolism Kit

“My weight had been creeping up for three years despite doing everything right.”

The Hormones kit showed I had severe insulin resistance, estrogen dominance, and a thyroid conversion problem — all three invisible on standard panels. For the first time, I understood why everything I tried wasn’t working.

Heart & Brain Toolkit

“I thought I was healthy.”

Normal cholesterol for years, exercised regularly, no symptoms. The Heart + Brain kit revealed my Lp(a) was critically elevated and my biological immune age was 12 years older than my chronological age. Dr. Druz had a complete plan ready the moment I walked in. That test saved me from a heart attack I didn’t know was coming.

Longevity Kit

“My father had his first heart attack at 52. I’m 47.”

The Heart + Brain kit found the same genetic variant driving his disease — but we caught it early. My coronary calcium score was still zero. Dr. Druz said that means we have a real window to change the outcome.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions

01Do I need a prescription or physician referral to order a kit?+
No referral is required to order. All HeartWell Toolkit results are reviewed by a physician and you receive a detailed report. To discuss your results, you’ll schedule a Step 1 Explore visit. The kits are designed to be the data foundation for your initial visit, so you get a precision plan.
02Does insurance cover the toolkits?+
HHC is a cash-pay practice. We do not bill insurance directly. HeartWell Toolkit testing is typically HSA and FSA eligible. We provide a detailed superbill after your visit for out-of-network reimbursement submission. We recommend confirming coverage details with your plan.
03How is this different from standard bloodwork my doctor orders?+
Standard bloodwork typically measures a basic lipid panel and a metabolic panel. HeartWell Toolkits go dramatically further — measuring LDL particle size and number, Lp(a), ApoB, advanced inflammatory markers, comprehensive hormone panels, and genetic risk factors for heart disease, Alzheimer’s, cancer risk, and longevity. Most patients have never had the majority of these markers measured.
04Which kit should I start with?+
The Heart & Brain Kit is the right starting point for most patients focused on cardiovascular risk. If you’re perimenopausal or menopausal, dealing with metabolic syndrome or stubborn weight, or have hormonal concerns, start with Hormones & Metabolism. If you want the most comprehensive biological picture — including your biological age — start with the Longevity kit. Our patient coordinator can help you decide.
05What does the at-home collection process involve?+
Collection requirements depend on the toolkit selected. Your kit arrives with either a fingerstick lancet for a small blood sample, or phlebotomy tubes and/or a urine and cheek swab for genetic collection. The process takes about 10 minutes. A prepaid return envelope is included. No clinic visit is required. Phlebotomy fees are not included.

Your arteries don’t wait. Neither should you.
